HC orders investigating if any Rohingya included in voters list after fake birth certificate scam

Following recent findings that 102 Rohingyas obtained birth certificates illegally, the High Court has ordered an investigation into how many Rohingyas have acquired National Identity Cards (NID) and been included in the voter list.
The Election Commission secretary, the Local Government secretary, the deputy commissioner of Cox’s Bazar, and other relevant authorities have been directed to submit a comprehensive report by 8 August.
This decision was made during a hearing on a supplementary application regarding the nationwide inclusion of Rohingya voters today (11 June).
