Manarat International University student killed
A student of Manarat International University has been killed in reported police firing during a clash between police and protesters in Uttara.
The deceased has been identified as Parvez Shakil, a third-year graduate student of the 17th batch of Business Administration department of the university.
He died of gunshot wounds at 5pm today, Professor of the university Mahbubul Alam said today.
Eyewitnesses claim that police called Parvez to talk during the clash and then shot him with rubber bullets in the stomach, severely injuring him.
He was rushed to Bangladesh Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
