Tk7.22cr collected in donation boxes of Pagla mosque in Kishoreganj
This time the donation boxes were opened after three months and 26 days.

The authorities today (17 August) collected a total of Tk7,22,13,046 in 28 sacks of cash after opening nine donation boxes at the Pagla Mosque in Kishoreganj.
Additional District Magistrate of Kishoreganj Mizabe Rahmat told The Business Standard that the counting started at 8:30am and ended at 7:00pm.

The donation boxes were opened in the presence of Brigadier General Tariqul Islam of Bangladesh Army, Deputy Commissioner of Kishoreganj Abul Kalam Azad and Superintendent of Kishoreganj Police Mohammad Russel Sheikh, he added.
This time the donation boxes were opened after three months and 26 days.
Earlier on 20 April this year, Pagla Mosque collected a record amount of Tk7.78 crore from their donation boxes.

Mizabe Rahmat said some foreign currency and gold ornaments were also found along with the money.
The money received in the donation boxes is spent on mosques, madrassas and orphanages in the district as well as social welfare works, he said.
