Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (Caab) Chairman Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan visited the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday (18 August) and called on airport authorities to take strict measures to combat Mpox.
He also visited various airport security locations, and held discussions with the health management team and assessed the measures taken to protect the passengers.
Speaking to reporters, he said, “We will all prevent this contagion through joint efforts.”
He also requested cooperation from all passengers.
The Caab chairman called on all health management teams and airport authorities to continue to work vigilantly and with health protection as the highest priority.
He also distributed protective materials like gloves, masks and hand sanitizers among the officers and employees on duty.
