Murder case filed against Hasina over killing of child in Rampura

A case has been filed against 84 people, including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, over the killing of child Tamim Shikdar, 13, in Rampura area of the capital.
Victim’s grandmother Mosammat Kahinur filed an application to the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Afnan Somi in this regard.
The court has asked the Rampura Police Station to record the FIR after taking deposition of the complainant.
The other accused of the case include former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, DMP former commissioner Habibur Rahman, former lawmaker Md Wakil Uddin, former state minister for information and broadcasting Md Ali Arafat and former foreign minister Hasan Mahmud.
In the case, it was mentioned that police fired on a rally of students and mass people at 4:30pm on 19 July. At that time, the victim was shot as he tried to cross the road.
Tamim was taken to Farazi Hospital where the doctors declared him dead. But police didn’t record any complaint at that time.
Later, Tamim was buried in Rampura Molla Bari Bazar graveyard.
