TBS reporter Zia Chowdhury selected for GIJN Fellowship
Zia Chowdhury, staff reporter for the English daily The Business Standard, has been selected for the “Introduction to Investigative Journalism” Fellowship.
Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) and Europe-based iMEdD – Incubator for Media Education and Development jointly offer the fellowship programme.
A total of six journalists from across the globe will come together under the programme.
The course will start in the first week of September through online classes. The in-person training will be held in Greece on 11 November.
This Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) training programme aims to equip journalists worldwide with the essential skills needed to navigate the complexities of investigative reporting. Participants will engage deeply with their subject matter, uncover hidden truths, and bring to light issues that resonate across various beats and topics.
Zia Chowdhury has been working as a crime reporter since 2018. He was awarded the BRAC Migration Media Award in 2021.
