Bangladesh ‘A’ and Pakistan Shaheens end series in a draw
The second and final four-day match between Bangladesh ‘A’ and Pakistan Shaheens in Islamabad concluded in a draw, resulting in the series ending level.
Bangladesh ‘A’ closed day three at 346/6, with Jaker Ali Anik unbeaten on 136.
On the following day, Jaker extended his score by 36 runs before being dismissed for 172. Bangladesh ‘A’ then declared their innings at 404/9.
For Pakistan Shaheens, spinner Abrar Ahmed was the standout bowler with four wickets, while Gulam Mudassir and Mehran Mumtaz took two wickets each.
In response, Pakistan Shaheens batted for 65 overs on the final day, reaching 281/4, largely thanks to Ali Zaryab’s century (117). Bangladesh ‘A’ bowlers managed to claim only four wickets.
Shahroon Siraj remained unbeaten on 53, and Qasim Akram finished with 36 not out. Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Taskin Ahmed, and Rejaur Rahman Raja each secured one wicket.
Jaker Ali Anik was awarded Player of the Match for his 172-run innings. The match, and the series, concluded in a draw.
