Efforts on to speed up waste management process: Dhaka South administrator

The Dhaka South City Corporation will continue its efforts to serve citizens smoothly and quickly, Dhaka South Administrator Moh Sher Ali said today (24 August).

“Waste management activities are done in three stages. Collecting from houses, keeping them in STS [Secondary Transfer Stations] and taking them to the landfill. We want to complete this whole process within one day,” Sher Ali said after inspecting the cleaning activities of the waste collection containers adjacent to the Dayaganj junction this afternoon.

Responding to reporters’ questions regarding corruption in the Dhaka South City Corporation, the administrator said, “The state has various organisations to look into corruption or legal issues. We are focusing on civic service related issues.”
