Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today urged police officials to refrain from corruption as anyone found with such involvements would not be spared.
“At any cost, corruption must be prevented,” he said while exchanging views with high officials of the police department at Police Headquarters.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Mainul Islam briefed the adviser about the current challenges and future action plans of the Bangladesh Police.
“We have undertaken an initiative to transform Bangladesh Police into a service oriented force through necessary reforms,” he added.
As senior police officers presented various proposals, the adviser assured them of implementing those proposals in phases.
“Police should be people-friendly through their work,” Jahangir Alam said.
He said Bangladesh Police is a disciplinary force and there is no scope to compromise with this moral obligation.
