PKSF to donate Tk2,422 crore for flood-affected people

The Palli-Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and partner organisations will donate Tk2,422 crore to the flood-hit people in Sylhet and Chattogram.

The PKSF Board of Directors approved the assistance package for flood relief and rehabilitation at a meeting today (28 August), reads a press release. 

This package includes a Tk3 crore grant for emergency healthcare, a Tk2 crore grant to the Chief Adviser’s Relief and Welfare Fund, and Tk416.7 crore in soft loans for post-flood rehabilitation. 

Additionally, PKSF affiliates in flood-affected areas are expected to disburse an estimated Tk2,000 crore through their regular loan programmes.
