Professor ASM Amanullah appointed VC of National University

Renowned social scientist and researcher Professor Dr ASM Amanullah was appointed as the vice-chancellor of the National University.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin who is also the chancellor of the university, made the appointment today (28 August), as per an education ministry order.

He is currently a professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Dhaka.

Dr Amanullah has worked as an academic researcher and was involved in various research projects funded by different national and international organisations and universities.

So far, he has worked on more than 170 development research projects as a principal investigator or consultant.
