Doctors announce nationwide indefinite strike
Doctors across the country have announced an indefinite strike, demanding the arrest of those involved in the assault on doctors in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) following the death of a student under treatment.
They also demanded an assurance of their safety.
Dr Abdul Ahad, a resident surgeon of the Neuro Surgery Department at DMCH, informed the media about the indefinite strike today (1 September).
Earlier today, the DMCH doctors went on a strike in protest of the attack on doctors on the DMCH premises.
