The interim government has decided to turn Ganabhaban, the designated residence for the prime minister of Bangladesh, into a museum, Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan said today (5 September).
The Advisory Council of the interim government took the decision at a meeting today, the adviser announced at a press conference in the capital’s Foreign Service Academy in the evening.
Asif Mahmud said the government would look into examples in other countries to build the memorial museum and keep it open to the public.
He said they would keep it unchanged and there will be a museum inside the building in memory of the student-led movement.
