Students and general people have started to gather in front of Raju Sculpture at Dhaka University’s TSC area ahead of the pre-scheduled Shaheedi March programme commemorating one month of the fall of Awami League government.
Students from various schools, colleges and universities started to reach the spot since 2:30pm today (5 September).
During this time, students were heard chanting various slogans, including “Abu Sayeed, Mugdho, The war hasn’t ended”, “In remembrance of the martyred, we don’t fear death” and “Blood of the martyrs is our power”.
Starting from Raju Sculpture, Shaheedi March will go through Nilkhet, New Market, Kalabagan, Manik Mia Avenue, Farmgate, Karwan Bazar, Shahbag and finally end at Raju Sculpture.
When asked about the programme, Student of Dhaka University’s Political Science department Asad Haque said, “Our programme today commemorates one month of the fall of Sheikh Hasina and the sacrifices made by our martyrs. The blood of the martyrs will inspire us to move forward in the coming days.”
