Now BRTA vehicle inspectors, deputy directors can take action against traffic rule breakers

From now on, the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority’s (BRTA) motor vehicle inspectors, and deputy directors will be able to conduct operations and take legal action against traffic law breakers.

The Road Transport and Highways Division gave the directive today (9 September) to aid in restoring order in roads.

Besides, the BRTA’s inspector of motor vehicles, assistant director (engineering), assistant director (general), deputy director (engineering) and directors have been empowered to take legal action against crimes committed on roads and highways as per the Road Transport Act, 2018 and Road Safety Rules, 2022.
