Summit’s floating LNG terminal to resume operation today after cyclone damage

Summit’s floating LNG terminal, damaged by Cyclone Remal at Moheshkhali in Cox’s Bazar, is set to resume operations today (11 September), according to sources at Petrobangla. 

The Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) was temporarily out of service due to the impact of the cyclone.

Kamruzzaman, Petrobangla’s operations officer, confirmed the development to The Business Standard. 

“The terminal will start gas supply today, and it will deliver 600 mmcfd of gas,” he said.
