Ex MP ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, 2 others detained while trying to flee to India

Border Guard Bangladesh has detained three people, including former member of parliament of Raozan upazila under Chattogram ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, while they were attempting to flee to India through Brahmanbaria’s Akhaura border. 

A patrol team of Fakirmora border outpost of Sarail Battalion (25 BGB) of BGB detained them around 6:30am today (12 September), confirmed the press wing of BGB.

The other arrested persons are Md Hannan Molla, a former member of Nurpur area of Akhaura and Md Naim Chowdhury, a local resident of Akhaura and a member of a human trafficking gang.

Those detained are being handed over to Akhaura police station, said BGB.
