DU to resume classes from 22 September after over two-month closure

The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have decided to resume its academic activities and classes from 22 September which was officially shut on 17 July amid the countrywide Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
The decision came from a university’s syndicate meeting held today at the lounge adjacent to Vice Chancellor’s office, chaired by university VC Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed khan, according to a press release.
However, the classes for first year students under 2023-24 academic session will resume from September 30, added the release.
The syndicate forum was also informed about all the proposals and decisions taken already regarding developing teacher-student relationship and reducing some ongoing conflicts.
Later, the syndicate members approved all the decisions and proposals, added the release.
