The arrestee is Zobayer Hossain alias Hridoy, 23.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from RAB-7 and RAB-11 conducted an operation around 5:30pm yesterday (20 September), leading to his arrest.
During interrogation, Zobayer confessed to his involvement in the student killing and revealed that he was hiding in various locations across Noakhali to evade arrest since the case was filed.

Saiful was declared dead at Feni General Hosptial.
Following the murder, Saiful’s father filed a case at the Feni Model Police Station, naming 94 individuals and an additional 100 to 150 unknown people on August 14.
Sharif-ul-Alam, senior assistant director (Media) of Rab-7, confirmed the matter.
Zobayer was handed over to the Feni Model Police Station for further legal action, he said.
