A writ was filed today (24 September) with the High Court (HC) to form a judicial probe body aimed at identifying people responsible for filing “fake cases” during the past Awami League (AL) regime.
Supreme Court (SC) lawyer Advocate Taimur Alam Khandaker filed the writ petition with the HC seeking directives relating to expose to justice the people involved in registering the “fake cases” and fixing compensation for the affected families by an investigation commission.
Secretaries of the Ministries of Law and Home, inspector general of police (IGP), director general of RAB and the people concerned were made respondents in the writ.
