Bangladesh women thrash Malaysia by 114 runs, record their biggest Asia Cup win
Bangladesh women continued their winning ways with a massive 114-run win against Malaysia in their third and final group stage match of the ongoing Asia Cup at Dambulla on Wednesday.
The batters finally clicked into gear as Murshida Khatun and Dilara Akter produced a 65-run opening partnership.
Murshida scored 80 from 59 balls and Dilara scored 33 from 20.
Captain Nigar Sultana Joty continued her good form with the bat, scoring 62 runs from just 37 balls as Bangladesh posted 191-2, their biggest total in Asia Cup history.
In reply, Malaysia managed just 77-8 in their 20 overs and never looked to be in the run chase.
