The ongoing curfew has been announced from 6pm, and the period of relaxation has been cancelled indefinitely, the home ministry said today (4 August).

The Home ministry’s Public Relations Division gave a press release in this regard this afternoon.

Earlier on 3 August, the curfew was relaxed from 6am-9pm in Dhaka, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said.

“Curfew will be relaxed indefinitely from Monday [4 August],” the minister told reporters after a meeting with the senior law enforcement officials at his Dhanmondi residence.

“All demands of the students have been accepted,” he had said, urging the students to withdraw from the protests and go home.
