Ctg port Chairman Md Sohail sent to forced retirement

Chattogram Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral Md Sohail has been sent to a forced retirement.
In a letter issued by the Naval Headquarters yesterday (19 August), he was attached to BNS Haji Mohsin (addl) naval base in Dhaka for “Compulsory Retirement to Pension Establishment”.
He was asked to report to duty by 19 August.
However, the reason behind his forced retirement was not mentioned in the letter.
On 1 January 1988, he was commissioned in the executive branch of Bangladesh Navy. In his long career, he served in different positions at naval ships, bases and headquarters.
Also, Md Sohail served as the director of Legal and Media Wing at elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) headquarters.
He also served as colonel GS of Counter Terrorism Intelligence Bureau (CTIB) and Internal Affairs Bureau (IAB) at DGFI Headquarters.
