Govt appoints 66 deputy and 161 assistant attorney generals

The interim government has appointed 66 new Deputy Attorney Generals (DAG) and 161 Assistant Attorney Generals to handle the state’s case in the Supreme Court.
The Solicitor’s Office of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued a notification appointing them as per the order of the President.
“They have been appointed according to the Bangladesh Law Officers Order, 1972. This appointment has been made by cancelling the appointments of all Deputy Attorney Generals and Assistant Attorney Generals who were previously appointed. The appointment of the new recruits will remain in effect until further orders,” reads the notice.
