UAE president pardons all 57 Bangladeshis convicted in rioting case

All 57 Bangladeshis who were earlier convicted by the UAE Federal Court were granted pardon by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today.

They will be deported to Bangladesh soon, said Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus following a meeting with the editors of newspapers.

The Bangladeshis were earlier convicted in July after staging a rare protest in the Gulf country.
