Professor Dr SMA Faiz was appointed as the chairman of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) today (5 September).
The announcement was made through a statement by the Ministry of Education.
Professor Dr SMA Faiz is a former professor of the Department of Soil, Water, and Environment at the University of Dhaka, former vice-chancellor of the University of Dhaka, and former chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission.
