Major General Emdad ul Bari appointed as BTRC chairman

Major General (retd) Md Emdad Ul Bari has been appointed as the chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

According to a notification sent by the Public Administration today (10 September), he will serve a three-year term in the Management and Administration category BTRC.

His appointment as the BTRC chief comes weeks after Md Mohiuddin Ahmed resigned from the post citing his inability “to continue his responsibilities at the telecom regulator due to illness” on 14 August.
