Ex-energy adviser Toufiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury arrested
He has been arrested from Gulshan, Rezaul Karim Mallick, additional commissioner of DMP’s Detective Branch confirmed to The Business Standard at around 11:08pm.

Police have arrested Toufiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, former power, energy adviser to Sheikh Hasina, from the capital tonight (10 September), the Dhaka Metropolitan Police said.
He was arrested from Gulshan at around 10:00pm, Rezaul Karim Mallick, additional commissioner of DMP’s Detective Branch, confirmed to The Business Standard at around 11:08pm.
It could not be immediately known in which case he was arrested.
