Former additional attorney general Mehedi, Gazipur AL leader Riaz arrested
Mehedi and Riaz are accused in two separate murder cases filed with Adabor Police Station in Dhaka and Basan Police Station in Gazipur respectively.

Police today (10 September) arrested former additional attorney general Barrister Md Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury and Gazipur Metropolitan Awami League Advisory Council member Riaz Mahmud Aynal from Jhenaidah while they were allegedly trying to cross the border illegally.
Police headquarters’ Senior Information Officer Kamrul Ahsan confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
