Former Thakurgaon-2 MP Mazharul Islam Suzon arrested in Dhaka

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested former Thakurgaon-2 MP Mazharul Islam Suzon from the capital today (11 September).
A team of RAB-1 arrested him from the Nikunja area, RAB Media Wing Assistant Director ANM Emran Khan confirmed to The Business Standard.
It could not be known immediately in which case he was arrested.
Suzon is the latest to join the list of former lawmakers, ministers and senior government officials arrested in the aftermath of the ouster of the Awami League-led government in August.
Earlier yesterday, police arrested Toufiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, former power, energy adviser to Sheikh Hasina, from the capital’s Gulshan. It was not immediately disclosed in which case he was arrested.
