Hasina, 58 others sued over attempt to murder case in Dinajpur

A case has been filed against 59 individuals including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and former Whip Iqbalur Rahim on charge of attempting to kill a student by shooting during the anti-government movement on 4 August in Dinajpur.
Victim Fahim Faisal, 22, son of ABM Siddiq of Rajbati area under Sadar upazila, filed the case with Kotwali police station today (14 September).
Officer-in-Charge of the station, Farid Hossain, said Fahim sustained bullet wounds during a clash near Sadar General Hospital in Munshipara on 4 August.
Sheikh Hasina and former local lawmaker Iqbalur Rahim were listed as the first and second accused in the case, respectively, with 57 others named and several additional individuals left unidentified, the OC added.
Since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, the former whip has so far been accused in the four cases.
