Govt cancels Rajuk chairman’s contractual appointment

The government has cancelled the remaining term of the contractual appointment of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) Chairman Maj Gen (retd) Siddiqur Rahman Sarkar.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration today (19 September), in accordance with clause 8 of the contract agreement, Siddiqur’s contractual appointment as the chairman of the Rajhuk was thereby terminated.
This order will come into effect immediately in the public interest, it added.
Earlier on 4 April, Siddiqur Rahman was appointed as the chairman of the organisation on a two-year contract.
