Karnaphuli Paper Mills (KPM) Limited, located at Chandraghona in Kaptai Upazila of Rangamati district, has resumed production after a month-long suspension.

Operations recommenced last Wednesday night following the resolution of technical issues and a shortage of raw materials.

A month ago, the production of the mill was stopped due to shortage of raw materials and technical faults.

General Manager of KPM Abul Kashem said the mill resumed operations after successfully repairing several mechanical faults. The production process is now fully underway, with pulp being used as the primary raw material for paper manufacturing.

The resumption of production after a month has brought relief to the workers of KPM, many of whom expressed their satisfaction. “We are very happy,” said several factory workers.

They called for uninterrupted production to ensure stable operations going forward.
