A fire has broken out in the workers’ colony in Mouchak Ambagan area at Kaliakoir in Gazipur.
Abdullah Al Arefin, deputy director of Gazipur Fire Service, said the fire started at the colony at around 7:30pm today (23 September).
Four units of firefighters rushed to the spot and were working to douse the flame, he said.
This colony is home to a diverse population, including workers from various industries and low-income people from different backgrounds and professions.
