Army officer killed in gunfight with robbers in Cox’s Bazar

An officer of the Bangladesh Army, was killed in a gunfight during a raid to recover illegal firearms in Cox’s Bazar’s Chakaria upazila today (24 September). 

The incident occurred around 3:30am during an overnight operation led by the army in the Maizpara area of Dulahazara Union. 

The deceased, Lieutenant Tanzim Sarwar, was critically injured after being shot by a group of robbers. He was rushed to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Ramu, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
